Bette had a great visit to Dr. Corey Tarwater’s lab at the University of Wyoming this past week where she met with grad students and faculty over two fun-filled days. Also got a chance to go birding in the snow with some amazing students from Anna Chalfoun’s, Corey Tarwater’s, Patrick Kelley’s and Melanie Murphy’s lab. Loved seeing the Mountain Chickadees, Lesser Scaup, male Wood Duck, among several others on this brisk morning. While there, I presented on a recent paper published with John Blake in Global Ecology & Conservation about bird declines in Amazonia Ecuador. Thanks to everyone there for making me feel so welcome and for all of the stimulating conversations!! I learned a tremendous amount on my visit.
