I am so thrilled to learn about successes of my colleagues, especially when they were a former PhD student. Dr. Teresa (Paty) Feria is being honored as the 2018 Outstanding International Female Faculty at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley @utrgv on March 9, 2018.  Paty received her PhD in Biology at the University of Missouri – St. Louis in 2007 and joined the faculty at UTRGV (then known as UTPA) in 2008.  Her research focuses on understanding present and future (under climate change scenarios) distribution of living organisms using Geographical Information System (GIS) technologies and Species Distribution Models.
